Ultimate Beach Packing List Florida

We’ve organized a list of beach essentials and extras to make any beach day perfect. Our list contains the necessities first and then an itemized list of over 50 possible items to include.

Swimsuit / bikini 

I know it seems like a no brainer but here’s the reminder just in case. Also if you got that one friend who’s all like “I don’t know I’m probably not going to go in blah blah..” Just make sure they wear it or bring it, because chances are they’re going to change their mind when they get there. 

Towels 

Another no brainer but if you were planning on air drying, you’ll at least want something to lay on or to help deal with the sand. 

Sandals / Flip flops 

Unless you’re wearing water shoes, anything other than sandals / flip flops is just a bad idea. The sand can get extremely hot so tread lightly and quickly you bear foot warriors. 

Sunscreen / Tanning lotion 

The sun is no joke, especially if your pale cousin from Minnesota is tagging along. 

Beach Blanket / Mat / Chairs 

Unless you’re a kid, laying in the sand is not high on anyone’s list of things to do. I personally prefer the chairs; they have straps to be carried like a backpack, a pouch to store stuff in, cup holders for drinks, recline options, and won’t blow with the wind. 

Beach blankets and mats are more ideal for those looking to lay down, soak up the sun and acquire the least amount of sand.  

Cooler

If you’re making it a beach day, you’re going to want beverages, and most likely food too. 

Beach Umbrella 

If you’re staying a while and/or have little one’s with you, you’ll definitely want the option of shade. You’d be surprised how fast you can catch a sunburn, and yes sun poisoning is a real thing so try not to hang for too long without the proper precautions.
